Create Real Impact – Save Lives

…sure, this is a kind of advertisement, but it’s the kind that can save lives.

Have you noticed how much more prominent distracted driving has become with the invention of smart phones? I mean, it’s only a second or two. You text your parents “On my way” and take your hand off the wheel and your eyes off the road.

Have you thought about how you’re risking lives whenever you do that?

Most of us haven’t thought about the impact of distracted driving long enough to make up our minds to stop. That’s why automobile accidents are the number one killer of teens in the US today – because we think the chances of it happening to us are too small. We’re safe in our little bubbles, and we’re oh so good at multi-tasking.

But really, the reality? It can always happen to you, and the only chance you have to stop it is in the decision you make now.

Create Real Impact is made up of people who want to minimize distracted driving. They offer about two scholarship opportunities a year where they invite residents of the US and the District of Columbia from 14-22 years of age to create impact by discouraging distracted driving. Whether your strength or passion lies in music, art, writing, or videography, you can make a difference today by joining other teenagers and young adults in speaking out against distracted driving.

You can create real impact. You can save lives. Stop distracted driving.

I'm just a kid in the big, wide world, trying to find my way through life by clinging to the hope of something better.

    1. I know… bad me… haha, but it’s for something that’s meaningful and can impact people positively, so hey, I’m all for it!
